I had a sewer back up that needed immediate attention and Felipe with Moor Plumbing Solutions was able to come within a couple hours to fix the problem. He was friendly, knowledgeable, provided a fair estimate on the phone. When he snaked the sewer line, he also took the the time to put a camera down the pipe and show me the tree roots that were the issue. He gave me a few options for a short term & long term solution. In addition to this he snaked my kids upstairs bathroom sink that had been clogged. Good attention to detail and someone I would definitely hire anytime you need plumbing help.

The first time we engaged with Moor's plumbing was replacing our 60 year old sewage lines in our house in Sunnyvale. We were renovating the house after our tenants moved out. For the past 4 years prior to their leaving, we had repeated issues almost every 9-12 months with sewage back up. Part of the issues was tree roots breaking into the junction between the house line joining the City mainline. A second problem was tree roots in the front courtyard pressing down on the house line, resulting in a depressed belly in the line that was causing water and waste settling in the belly.
Besides offering a very competitive price for the work, what impressed us the most was that Felipe patiently ran his camera line through the line, and explaining to us what he believed the camera was showing as problems, and suggesting to us in detail the various feasible options to fix the problem. He patiently explained the different options, the pros and cons of each, and did not try to pressure us into any particular choice.
We contracted with his company to do the house line replacement, and correct the root blockage from the new house line to the city line. He proposed the use of trenchless methodology to minimize the needed amount of trenching work required. It turned out the depression due to the tree roots in the front courtyard was more troublesome than anticipated. The flow grading of the new line was severely impacted resulting in considerably more manual trenching needed to clean out the troublesome roots and adjusting the line grading in order to pass City Inspections. Rather than complaining about the additional effort required, they did all the additional work needed at their own expense to fulfill their contractual requirement and getting the work finally passing City Inspection. That level of professionalism to deliver the quality of work promised was very much appreciated.
Because of that favorable experience, we emailed Felipe this past week to ask him if his company would take a smaller job of looking into how to fix a rain drain problem we have started experiencing in our 60 old home in Millbrae. The problem we were experiencing was with a down sprout from the garage roof going into a drain line running under the front driveway concrete into a discharge hole at the curb. Water was draining very slowly from the down sprout into the street, resulting in water overflow during heavy rainstorm.
We contracted another plumber to pressure flushed the under the pavement drain line, flushed off a lot of mud that appeared to be clogging the drain pipe, and the water pumped into the hole where the down sprout was meeting the drain line appeared to be unclogged. But after three weeks, when we hit the first heavy rainstorm, water was once again spilling out of the junction.
Felipe responded to our email, came out to our place in Millbrae, carefully ran his scoping camera through the drain line, and identified where the drain line was exhibiting cracking, resulting in pebbles and soil being washed into the line, leading to the clogging and slow drain flow. Again, he explained patiently all the options we may consider to address the issues, and give us a clear brreakdown of cost to implement each option.
We really appreciate the professional approach. Instead of rushing through hastily, he took the time to fully investigate the true problem cause, explain to us in terms we can understand, and suggesting possible remedial options without pressuring us into any particular choice. We appreciate his thoroughness in performing the problem diagnostic, proposing options for problem solutions, and offering a fair quote for each option. We feel we can trust him to deliver whichever solution we agree to go with.
